Success at District Competition Plays!

• • Fox High School presented the following plays at the MSHSAA District Theatre Competition 2026:

    • One Act Play- "The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon!- One Act Version" by Don Zolidis

      • The fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm are turned on their heads in this fast-paced, rollicking ride as two narrators and several actors attempt to combine all 209 stories ranging from classics like Snow White, Cinderella, and Hansel and Gretel to more bizarre, obscure stories like The Devil’s Grandmother and The Girl Without Hands. A wild, free-form comedy with lots of audience participation and madcap fun. 

    • Reader's Theatre Play- "I, Chorus" by Ian McWethy

      • College-dropout Elle is lost and trying to find her place in the world until she meets a Greek Chorus completely devoted to each other and speaking in unison. And doing other things in unison. Like getting a job a Walmart and going on a date. To join them, Elle has to give up everything and everyone she knows, but maybe this is exactly what she has been looking for...

  • Fox High School was the only Theatre program out of 11 participating schools to bring competition entries in BOTH Categories: One Act Play AND Reader's Theatre!

  • The District Theatre Competition was held on Thursday, March 5th at East Central College in Union, Missouri.  Here are the results!!

    • Adam Thuli and Toby Triplett were honored as members of the All-District Cast for One Act Plays!!

    • Grace Preston was honored as a member of the All-District Cast for Reader's Theatre!!

    • Fox HS Reader's Theatre: TOOK 2ND PLACE AND QUALIFIED FOR THE STATE TOURNAMENT!!!!
