Yes, Absolutely! There are TWO, Semester Classes you can sign up for to learn about Public Speaking in general, AND Speech & Debate Competition pieces specifically:
Speech 1
Usually held in the Fall Semester, but sometimes offered in the Spring
Learn the basics of Public Speaking, including dealing with Stagefright, and how to use your voice, eye contact, and gesture to Delivery your Speech in an engaging way!
Learn Informative Speaking, including how to write and structure a speech, as well as competitive events using these skills
Learn Persuasive Speaking, including some fundamental DEBATE skills!
Speech 2
Usually held in the Spring Semester
Learn the importance of Group Communications and how to use Public Speaking in the workplace
Dive more deeply into DEBATE, by learning structure, skills, and participating in Competition Debtes!
Learn how to use Public Speaking in your Civic and Personal life, with speeches like "Weddings," "Sales Pitch," or "Graduation."
