Varsity Choir

Varsity Choral Ensembles at Fox High:

VARSITY TENOR-BASS: Auditioned men’s choir that focuses on the foundations of vocal tone and health. It also explores the changing-voice and concentrates on choral-blend and part-singing. Admission by approval of director.

VARSITY TREBLE: Competitive upper-level women’s ensemble selected after years of development in a choral ensemble. Tone quality, maturity, proven work ethic, and experience in part-singing and sight-reading are required. Admission by audition and approval of director.

VARSITY MIXED: Highly developed mixed ensemble made up of select choral singers. Students are experienced, established and advanced in all areas of vocal music. An emphasis is placed on the diversity and breadth of traditional choral literature. Limited-admission by approval of director.

VARSITY SELECT: Elite small ensemble characterized by a variety of difficult renaissance, jazz and contemporary choral music. Limited-admission by audition and approval of director.

• PLEASE RETURN THE TRAVEL INTENT PAPERWORK WITH YOUR $60 DEPOSIT BY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12. The deadline has been extended to reflect earnings from the Talent Show and rescheduled Car Wash on Oct. 6.

• Donation Letters are available to raise money for trip accounts; they continue to be a valuable source of travel funds each year.

• *Throughout the year, all checks/money orders submitted should be payable to “FHS Choirs.” We do not have the current capability to directly accept credit card payments.
