The Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District awarded Four Seasons $5,000 to fund PHASE 1 of this restoration effort.
This first phase will focus on priority areas that are:
Barren or lawn covered
Severally eroded
Have few invasive plants
Phase 1 planting areas highlighted
These native plants will:
Provide seasonal interest with flowers, berries and stem coloration
Reduce erosion as their roots take hold of the soil
Improve drainage as their roots aerate the soil, reducing runoff
Attract birds and pollinators
Eroded banks along the creek
