Social-emotional learning is not something else added to an already full plate...it IS the plate! Our goal is to help all students grow and develop in the areas of self- and social-awareness, emotion recognition and regulation, social-awareness, responsible decision making, healthy coping skills, and relationship skills as well as academics!
I have lived in Fort Atkinson for the majority of my life, and feel very lucky to be a part of a wonderful community! My husband and I have 3 children who all attend SDFA schools. I am very passionate about supporting students' social and emotional growth and development so that they may reach their full academic potential. Mental health is extremely important to me, and I believe that building relationships, providing support, and teaching strategies at a young age is crucial to child development.
