No late work will be accepted after the end of a unit or assessment/project. Exceptions will only be allowed for EXCUSED absences (from the office/as marked in Infinite Campus).

I update grades usually within days of a daily assignment or in-class work. Essays take approximately two weeks to be graded and entered into the grade book.
I will do my best to explain, inform, and develop understanding of the ideas and activities we will pursue. Please ask questions if something does not make sense. I am happy to explain & I'm sure someone else has the same question.
Parent and student contact will be sent as needed.
CLASS LITERATURE LIST
During this school year, I will be piloting district-approved instructional resources. These materials have received approval at the district level and may differ from our usual coursework. While they are being tested, some assignments, readings, or activities may be modified or updated. Any changes will align with our district curriculum standards and learning goals.
Students will read an independent novel of choice throughout the semester in addition to in-class readings. Students will have access to the school’s Library Media Center, Mid-Continent Public Library, teachers’ classroom libraries, and their own personal collections. For more information about the books, please speak with student, search Destiny (our library database), or email TDS.
In addition to the independent novel, students will be participating in whole-class readings where we will read a selected novel or short stories and complete various activities. Selections are listed below.
