Thank you all so much for your participation in the 2025 Pumpkin Contest! We had 23 pumpkins submitted by Powertime teachers and their creative students.

VCMS connections
VCMS 8th Grade Art
8th graders have been working on their landscape paintings in art class this month. Students were able to select their landscape and work as a team to collaborate on completing the artwork. They learned various different painting techniques and the basics of color mixing.
Students also created mini eye drawings in preparation for their summative projects. Although the eyes were a quick study, these students crushed it with their display of value.
VCMS athletics
November is here, and that means Viper Boys and Girls Basketball, and also Basketball Cheer!
Come out and cheer on our Vipers on the hardwood court!

VCMS Cross Country
Practicing since June 10, all 80 VCMS XC runners have been on the move all season. At the Forsyth County XC Championship Meet, our runners took home 2 trophies but 4 honors. The boys varsity team placed 1st, the girls varsity placed 2nd, and our JV teams - boys and girls- placed 2nd and 3rd respectively. At the Peach State Meet in Commerce, Georgia, Luke I. placed 1st overall leading the boys varsity to a 4th place finish and setting a new course record. We are excited and proud of our very successful season!
VCMS media center
Thank you for another successful Book Fair!
Students enjoyed coming to browse Scholastic's fall collection - they stocked their bookcases and pencil pouches with all the latest merch. All Book Fair & Blow Pop profit will go right back into our VCMS media center. Students have lots of great ideas for new activities to introduce into our collection.
A huge thank you to the families who contributed prize donations and generously gave their time to help support and run our fundraisers.
We could not do it all without you!
