About FOIP+ Dialogue
About FOIP+ Dialogue
This year marks a decade since former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo first articulated his vision for a Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP).
The FOIP initiative aims to realize a free and open international order across the Indo-Pacific, grounded in shared values and principles – most notably the rule of law. It seeks to do so by strengthening regional connectivity and fostering peace, stability, and prosperity throughout this region.Abe Shinzo’s flagship vision has gained increasing significance amid intensifying strategic competition between nations and the growing complexity of geopolitical dynamics.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of FOIP, an event will be held to connect private and research networks across borders, broaden engagement with countries, regions, and thematic areas, and promote dialogue aimed at advancing the objectives of a free and open Indo-Pacific. The initiative will also support and nurture the development of next-generation researchers in the field. Please join us.
