Bringing the “plus” to the future of Free and Open Indo-Pacific(FOIP)
The Indo-Pacific, where the Pacific and Indian Oceans intersect, is a critical driver of global stability and prosperity. Ten years have passed since Prime Minister Abe Shinzo introduced the concept of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” (FOIP). Today, ensuring a free, open, prosperous, and vibrant maritime sphere is the responsibility of our generation.
This volunteer project seeks to bring the “plus” and shape the future of a free and open Indo-Pacific by advancing cross-border connections, cross-border dialogue, and support for the next and future generations.
FOIP+ 2026 has successfully concluded!
With registrations from 32 countries and regions and 20 speakers, the event provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on the past decade of FOIP and explore its direction for the next ten years.
We sincerely thank all speakers, participants, and supporters for their contributions. We look forward to organizing the 2nd FOIP+ Dialogue in 2027.
Further updates will be shared on our official website.
