This week we celebrated Earth Day and read books about our wonderful planet and ways in which we can help take care of it.
We watched an incredible read-aloud with a powerful but hopeful message on all we can do to help take care of our planet.

This week library classes are doing an author study on Eric Carle and reading many of his books. After reading The Mixed-Up Chameleon, students created images of their favorite animal and wrote a short story about it.
We love Eric Carle!
On April 8th, we read books about the Solar Eclipse, discussed how animals react to eclipses and are very in sync with the sun and moon phases (We read Chase the Moon, Tiny Turtle), and did a special reader's theater with our volunteer "newscasters" who informed us about Eclipse 2024 happenings.
