We are Celebrating
Women's History Month in March
During March will are reading books by Women Authors, Women Illustrators, and Books with Women Characters. Our read-alouds this month focused on famous women who were scientists, inventors, politicians, artists, musicians, sports stars, and trailblazers.
During the last week of March, we did an Author Study on Beatrix Potter, famed children's book author and illustrator, known for The Tale of Peter Rabbit and many more classic children's tales. During our library time, classes created characters and stories just like Beatrix Potter.
Check out some of our character creations below!
Just a sample of some of our favorite books that we have read this month, celebrating women authors, women illustrators & biographies of trailblazing women.
