Advanced Placement (AP) courses are a great way to prepare students for the rigors of college. In some cases, passing the national exams for AP courses allow students to earn college credits while in high school and be exempt from college courses.
Signing up for most AP courses is a year-long commitment because of class size, limitations, staffing decisions, and to protect families from the exam cancellation fee mandated by College Board.
It is crucial for students to consider the rigors of all courses, extracurricular activities, and other obligations when making decisions about taking an AP course.
You can find more information about the AP course offerings at FMHS here.
FMHS hosts a curriculum night each year for rising 9th-grade students. You will find information about all of the course offerings in this presentation.
