CELL PHONES, SMARTWATCHES, HEADPHONES

At Forest Creek, we value creating a distraction-free learning environment. Cell phones may be brought to school and used to communicate with parents before entering the building and reporting to homeroom, after exiting the building, or upon arrival at the location of an after-school practice/event. They must be turned off and kept in the student's locker during the school day. A cell phone may not be used during the school day. Students may make a pass to the front office to use the phone during the school day to communicate with parents if needed.

Smartwatches may be worn to school. However, these devices will be treated like cell phones and must remain in the student's locker until the end of the school day. Wireless headphones/earbuds must also be kept in lockers during the school day.

Cell phone violations will be addressed using STUDENT DISCIPLINE POLICIES. Additional consequences may be imposed at the administration's discretion based on the severity of the violation. Refusal to give a school employee the electronic device when asked will also result in additional consequences.Â
