Everyone experiences stress and anxiety at one time or another.
The difference between stress and anxiety is:
- stress is a response to something external
-anxiety is a person’s reaction to stress

When a person regularly feels elevated levels of stress and/or anxiety, this may become a medical disorder.

FMPSD has trained counsellors in every school to support with your stress and anxiety as well as multiple in-house supports:

-Grade five/six Friends For Life: resiliency and anxiety prevention program
-Mental Health Curriculum grades 10 to 12
-The Fourth R of Indigenous Education: Respect, Relevance, Reciprocity and Responsibility
-Heart Math :emotion regulation through understanding coherence in physical, mental and emotional well-being
-Circle Of Security Parent Group: helping parents understand childhood attachment and behaviors.
