Activities
WP5 will include citizen science approaches and involve industry stakeholders into the project, to lay the foundation for transferring research results to the potential users outside of the project into different areas of expertise.
The citizen scientists will participate in formative sessions on the project aims and methods, leading to simple understanding and widely usable standardized operative procedures.
Their involvement will increase the awareness and sensitivity of the society towards the beneficial effects of Urban Green Elements on human wellbeing and biodiversity.
By including stakeholders along the value chain, the development and implementation of adequate policies, that are close to the work reality of constructing and maintaining artificial green elements, will be facilitated.
AirBiD will disseminate the findings, deployed procedures, and information materials through different routes to reach scientists outside the project, the general public, economic stakeholders as well as policy makers including the Europeans Researchers nights.
Using diverse routes of dissemination, the recognition of the transformative power of Urban Green Elements in different geographic areas, including regions with informal urbanization or rapid land-use change, will be promoted.
