VSA
Virtual School Administrator (VSA)
From the FOCUS portal, you will be able to then access VSA. You will see an overview of your classes, including the current grades and percentage complete in each class. You will click on any class in VSA in order to proceed to the third and final system, which is called Educator.
You will not see any specific lessons or assignments in VSA; that information is accessible only in Educator.
In order to view specific lessons, assignments, and full gradebooks, you must be logged in through the student’s account. In the parent/guardian account, only FOCUS and VSA are accessible.
Accessing VSA
To pass through from FOCUS to VSA, you will click on the flvs:VSAconnect button in the Focus Portal.
Note: You will not be able to access courses until the 1st day of school.
VSA Student Dashboard
On the dashboard, you will see the grades and percent complete for each course.
The blue in the ring will continue to fill in as the student progresses further along in the course.
Once a course is 100% finished for the semester, the blue ring will be a complete circle.
Quick Links
In the Quick Links area, you will be able to access a variety of information, including:

Passing into Educator
In each course area, click on the orange "Course" button.
It does not matter which "Course" button you choose, as you will be able to easily jump from course to course once you're in Educator.
Login Errors
Students may see the following error messages when attempting to portal from Focus to VSA at the beginning of the year. Below you will see possible error messages and what they mean. Don't worry - reach out to your homeroom teacher or tech support (800-374-1430, option 2). We understand that error messages may cause some delays.
"Please login" Error
This message means that the account hasn't been activated in VSA yet. This is normal and expected due to the large number of students being activated in their courses.
The activation process takes between 24 - 48 hours.
If you are still unable to access your course after 48 hours from your first attempt, contact the help desk at 800-374-1430 (option 2) to report the issue.
"Unconfirmed match" Error
This screen means the student has an existing VSA account and has tried to enter that information incorrectly too many times. If the student does not remember the login information, they will need to click the links on the message or contact tech support to assist with a VSA password reset.
Students will need to wait at least 24 hours before attempting to access again.
If after 24 hours they are still unable to access, please email info@flvs.net.
"Unknown Student Information" Error
This error occurs when something is not matching between Focus and VSA. It will prevent the student from accessing their account. Please report this error to tech support at 800-374-1430 (option 2) or your homeroom teacher.
"Welcome back" Error
This screen means the student has an existing VSA account and will need to enter their information. If they do not remember the information, they will need to click the links on the message or contact tech support at 800-374-1430 (option 2) for a password reset.
"System Error"
This message means that the VSA account has not synced with Educator yet.
The activation process takes between 24 - 48 hours.
If you are still unable to access your course after 48 hours after your first attempt, contact the help desk at 800-374-1430 (option 2) to report the issue.
