Daytona State College offers online Dual Enrollment Information Sessions to students and families. Click Here for dates/times/info. During the application process, students will attend a group online academic advising session to learn about the program and to get help with course selection. Individual advising is also available! Daytona State College also offers online PERT testing for students who do not already have qualifying test scores.
General Eligibility Requirements:
Grades 10-12. 9th grade may qualify in 2nd semester if they have 1 high school credit at the time of application (earned in middle school)
3.0 Unweighted GPA (seniors can qualify with a 3.0 weighted GPA, and students with a 2.5 unweighted GPA can take SLS1122)
qualifying test scores (many courses can be taken with passing reading and writing but not math and vice versa):
PERT 106 Reading, 103 Writing, 114 Math (MAT1033) / 123 (MAC1105)
SAT 490 Reading/Writing, 480 Math (MAT1033) / 530 (MAC1105)
ACT 19 Reading, 17 English, 19 Math (MAT1033) / 21 (MAC1105)
CLT 38 sum of verbal and grammar/writing, 16 math
(SLS1122 Managing your success can be taken with PERT 84 reading, 90 writing, ACT 17 reading, 15 writing, OR SAT 22 reading, 23 writing)

Number of College Courses Permitted Per Term:
Grade 9, Second Semester (students must have earned 1 high school credit in a core course): 1 college course, must be SLS1122 (Managing Success)
Grade 10 -12: 2 college courses (all new students must take SLS1122, Managing Success)
students with 30 college credits and a 3.5 college GPA may take 9 online credits
Local students in 11th and 12th grade may enroll in additional courses beyond the 2 maximum online (face-to-face or hybrid). 1 additional course in 11th grade (total of 3), 2-3 additional courses in grade 12 (total of 4-5)
***Students must select a major (most students choose AA) and complete General Education/Core Requirements prior to electives. SLS1122 Managing your success is required in the first term (unless the student is on an AS pathway)
Note: it is important that you follow the FVHS instructions for application. There are some differences in process/dates to what is posted on the website for their local students.
