Testing

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO ENSURE THAT YOU ARE REGISTERED.

1. Students must register and complete the Texas Success Initiative 2.0 PAA (Pre-Assessment Activity) first at https://practice.accuplacer.org/login.  Students must create an account to complete the PAA.  Once completed, the student is required to submit proof of the PAA Completion Certificate prior to testing.  Parents cannot complete the PAA for their student. 

2. Register at the google link for the corresponding test date.

*Registrations are available until full.

3. Payment must be submitted no later than 1 week prior to the test date.  Accepted payments include: Cash, Check, or online payment via REVTRACK.

TSI Rule 4.55(b) requires that all testing sites provide a Pre-Assessment Activity (PAA) for all test takers

prior to test administration. The PAA will help you understand the following:

• Why you are being tested.

• How the TSIA2 works, including calculator and   highlighter tutorials and practice test questions.

• How test results impact your postsecondary options.

• Resources available to you.

Location: Teaching Theatre

Check-in time: 8:15 a.m.  

Test begins promptly at 8:30 a.m.

*Student must bring a student ID or photo ID to verify identity.

PURPOSE OF THE TSIA2 TEST

The Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2) is a series of placement tests for students enrolling in public colleges and universities in Texas. The tests help Texas schools determine whether you’re ready for college-level courses in the areas of reading, writing, and math.  The TSIA2 is also available for students who need to test for dual credit or CCMR purposes.

• TSI Study Guide- Union Test Prep offers study guides for a variety of tests including TSI, ACT, SAT, ASVAB, & PSAT

ACCOMMODATION GUIDELINES

AVAILABLE TO ALL STUDENTS: 

Students can request to test each section on separate days.  Please register separately for each testing date for the section you wish to test. 

• High School students must take and pass Algebra 1, English 1, Biology, English 2 and US History STAAR EOC before graduation

• STAAR Released Test Questions

• ACT OR SAT required for some 4 year universities

• Test Date: February 23, 2027

• Registration is not available at this time. 

• Cost for ACT - $64

• Optional Saturday ACT: See website for test dates and how to register

• Fee Waiver: Contact your Counselor if you qualify for free/reduced lunch for a code to waive registration fee for an outside testing center.

Important Notes & Fee Waivers

• Deadlines are strict: All students must complete registration and submit payment by the specified deadlines.

• Junior/Senior Waivers: Flour Bluff High School offers one free test waiver to eligible students beginning in the spring semester of their junior year.

The PSAT/NMSQT is an optional practice SAT test available for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.

Important for JUNIORS: This exam serves as the official qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSQT), and this will be the only date it is offered this school year.
