CAMP SOAR
Camp SOAR is a five-day summer camp designed to expose upcoming high school juniors and seniors with an interest in aerospace engineering to the research and facilities at Texas A&M University’s Department of Aerospace Engineering. During the week, students will be able to explore the field though design projects and departmental tours. They will have the opportunity to interact with current students as well as world renowned faculty.
This year’s program dates are July 12-17, 2026.

Texas Southern University is hosting the TMCF SOAR Scholars Program from June 14–19, 2026, exclusively for high school juniors. This exciting, week-long program lets students explore college admissions, experience campus life on an HBCU campus, and learn what college is really like—all while building leadership skills and connections.
Best part? It’s completely FREE thanks to the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, an organization dedicated to supporting students at HBCUs through scholarships, leadership development, and educational opportunities.

Program Requirements:
High school transcript (official or unofficial)
Submit a letter of recommendation from an academic teacher, administrator, advisor, coach or counselor at your school
Write a personal statement (250-300 words) responding to the following prompt:
What are your short-term and long-term goals after high school? How can your participation in the TMCF SOAR Program assist you in achieving these goals? (Note: In your response, reflect on how your experiences have shaped your goals and motivation).
