Course Offerings

In our elementary art rooms we will: 

• Learn basic routines and procedures of an art room

• Develop basic knowledge of elements and principles of design

• Understand that artists create in their own unique way based on their own opinions and ideas

• Create a space that feels safe to explore oneself

• Explore many art processes, techniques, and materials that will develop fine motor skills

• Develop a comfort level of expressing own opinions and ideas

• Foster a love for creating

In our middle school art rooms we will: 

• Use the basic routines and procedures of an art room to allow for new and more challenging materials and techniques to be offered. 

• Deepen our knowledge of elements and principles of design.

• Dig deeper in our own opinions and ideas to create meaningful works of art that others can learn from and enjoy.

• Create a space that feels safe to explore oneself and have empathy towards others.

• Develop our skills in art processes, techniques, and materials that will enhance our artistic skills.

• Continue to foster a love for creating

In our high school art rooms we will: 

• Use higher level routines and procedures of an art room to allow for more challenging materials and techniques when making art. 

• Use our knowledge of elements and principles of design to create advanced works of art.

• Use our own opinions and ideas of our world to create meaningful higher-level works of art that effectively communicate meaningful points of view.

• Foster and maintain a space that feels safe to explore oneself and have empathy towards others.

• Hone our skills in art processes, techniques, and materials that support life skills that prepare students for future careers.

• Foster a love for creating and sharing with others.
