We do not expect teams to speak to all of the above with every customer. Instead, we provide recommended talk tracks and FAQS, and we sent in-store assets that include QR codes directing customers back to a Fleet Feet Milestones overview on fleetfeet.com/rewards.

The sections below include more specifics around the structure and rules under the new Fleet Feet Milestones program.
TIERS AND ANNUAL SPEND
Fleet Feet Milestones members are segmented into two groups.
Pacesetters spend up to $399 per calendar year
Frontrunners spend $400 or more per calendar year
FRONTRUNNER STATUS TIMELINES
Members enjoy Frontrunner status right after their qualifying purchase, and Frontrunner status is valid for the remainder of that calendar year plus the following year. 👉 For example - If a member earns Frontrunner status on Oct. 1, 2024, that member enjoys top tier status for the remainder of 2024 AND all of 2025.
If a Frontrunner status member does not spend at least $400 in their final full calendar year, they will drop back to Pacesetter status. 👉 For example - Again, we'll consider the member who earns Frontrunner status on Oct. 1, 2024. This member needs to spend $400 in 2025 (the last full year of their status) to maintain Frontrunner status in 2026.
✏️ NOTE #1 - We also applied Frontrunner status to existing and loyal members who spent $400 or more in 2023, or $400 or more in 2024 as of the day we switched to the new program (July 31, 2024).
✏️ NOTE #2 - Fleet Feet Milestones members receive automated email communications to help them keep track of their membership status. Membership status is also available within fleetfeet.com and app account pages.
✏️ NOTE #3 - While we discussed free shipping for Frontrunners at the 2023 Owner's Summit, we will hold off on this perk for now. We’d prefer to test periodic free shipping opportunities so we can better understand the financial impact before (and if) we roll this out as a permanent benefit in the future.
FRONTRUNNER STATUS AND RETURNS
If a Frontrunner makes returns that put them below a $400 annual spend, they will automatically be bumped down to Pacesetter status. Their Frontrunner status will renew as soon as they make a qualifying purchase that puts them back at $400 or more. This same process applies for canceled orders as well.
SPEND TO FRONTRUNNER STATUS ROLLOUT UPDATE
Rollout Update - While Pacesetter or Frontrunner membership status tiers are reflected within fleetfeet.com accounts, the spend to reach Frontrunner status will likely be added to fleetfeet.com accounts in January 2025. In the meantime and in case customers ask how close they are to Frontrunner status, there are a couple options:
Within the RICS customer profile and on behalf of the customer, head to purchase history > Sales Summary > Year-to-Date sales. Let the customer know that this does not include online purchases, but you can give them an idea of their in-store purchase total YTD.
Within the Marigold customer profile and on behalf of the customer, head to CSR > People > search and find member's profile > Select Activities with their profile > Filter Activity Type by Purchase and Purchase Return > set timing to Year-to-date. Results will include in-store and online purchases and returns.
POINTS PER DOLLAR & REWARDS
Pacesetters earn 1 point for every $1 spent (pre-tax, does not include shipping costs).
Frontrunners earn 1.25 points for every $1 spent (pre-tax, does not include shipping costs).
For both groups, 250 points automatically convert to a $15 reward.
This means Pacesetters earn a reward for every $250 they spend, and Frontrunners earn a reward for every $200 they spend.
📝 Please note - Points expire after one year for all members (Pacesetters and Frontrunners). While we considered no point expiration for Frontrunners and shared this at the 2023 Owner's Summit, as we worked with Marigold on the program configuration, we found that the separate point expiration rules created complexity that could cause future system disruptions. We want to avoid this risk by creating a consistent point expiration for both member groups.
BIRTHDAY OFFERS
Both Pacesetters and Frontrunners receive birthday offers if they submit their birthday information within their fleetfeet.com or app account pages before their birthday month.
Pacesetters receive $10 birthday offers
Frontrunners receive $15 birthday offers
Members are notified via email on the first day of their birthday month
Offer is valid for 31 days, and members receive one additional reminder email five days prior to expiration (if they have not redeemed)
Birthday offers also populate within fleetfeet.com and app account pages
BIRTHDAY OFFERS AT THE POS
Birthday offers will appear at the RICS POS in the "Apply Coupons" section with all other rewards, and will automatically populate at checkout on fleetfeet.com.
📝 Please note - Please do not collect birthdays at the RICS POS, as this data is not integrated with Marigold. Please direct customers to add their birthday via their fleetfeet.com or app account pages only. We also remind members to do this via automated Fleet Feet Milestones emails.
SWEEPSTAKES
We will reserve most sweepstakes opportunities for Frontrunners only. These will be available periodically and we will provide notice before sharing with members. Launch sweepstakes were available to all members and included the below.
Better Together Workout and Brunch by Superfeet - one winner received a workout and brunch with four friends
Saucony Hurricane 24 x 24 Giveaway - 24 winners received a pair of the Saucony Hurricane 24
OOFOS Relax and Recover Spa Day - five winners received $200 gift cards to their local spas
Fall Race Day Prize by On - five winners receive On footwear and On will cover entries to their fall race, up to $200
Free Socks For a Year by Balega - five winners will receive Balega socks every month, for twelve months
LA Marathon Getaway by ASICS - two winners received LA Marathon race entries, flight vouchers, and hotel stay

We encourage members to download the app or create a fleetfeet.com profile in our materials, so they have access to their Fleet Feet Milestones member information. Within their fleetfeet.com accounts, members can access:
Account name and email
Membership status
Reward and point balances
Birthday offers (when available)
Bonus offers (when available)
Eligible sweepstakes
Reward tracking (points needed to earn their next reward)
Membership tracking (dollars needed to earn or renew Frontrunner status) - coming soon

NEW AUTOMATED EMAILS
Fleet Feet Milestones includes several new email automations, to ensure we keep members aware and informed of offers, membership and reward status, and bonus opportunities.
✏️ NOTE #1 - At first glance, this list may appear extensive. But keep in mind that these communications are spread out over time (think in terms of customers receiving these emails over the course of a year). Members have the option to opt out of reward communications if they wish to.

COMPANY EMPLOYEES AND REWARDS
Loyalty experts agree that it is a best practice for store employees to be able to engage with brand loyalty programs. So that employees at company-owned stores can better speak to the new Fleet Feet Milestones experience, structure, and perks, we changed our policies for company-owned store employees and permit them to join Fleet Feet Milestones and earn and redeem rewards. The following apply to employees of company-owned stores, the franchisor, and their family members only (not to employees of franchisees) and took effect when we rolled out Fleet Feet Milestones:
Reduce employee discount from 50% to 45% with new access to rewards benefits. Discount on electronics for employees also changed from 35% to 30%.
Reduce employee family discount from 30% to 25% with new access to rewards benefits. Discount on electronics for family also changed from 30% to 25%.
Allow employees and employee family members to earn and redeem rewards in-store at company-owned stores and on fleetfeet.com.
Allow employees and employee family members to receive and redeem one annual birthday offer at a company-owned store or on fleetfeet.com ($10 for Pacesetters / base tier or $15 for Frontrunners / top tier depending on tier status).
General percentage off employee discounts for employees and family members are not be eligible on fleetfeet.com purchases. Employee discounts are available at company-owned stores only.
Reserve sweepstakes winnings for non-employees only.
FRANCHISE EMPLOYEES AND REWARDS
While we changed the company employee policy when we rolled out Fleet Feet Milestones, franchise owners still control if and how their employees participate in Fleet Feet Milestones.
Franchisees decide if their employees can earn points or redeem rewards and birthday offers. Franchisees also still have the ability to exclude employees from accruing points or earning rewards within Marigold if they wish to do so.
Franchisees decide the amount of employee discounts on purchases at the franchisee’s store(s), if any.
Neither franchisee owners nor franchisee employees are eligible to use employee discounts on fleetfeet.com.
Neither franchisee owners nor franchisee employees are eligible to win sweepstakes intended for customers.
For franchisees who decide to allow their employees to participate in Fleet Feet Milestones, there is no action on your end. Your employees that are currently marked as employees within Marigold will began earning points and rewards when we rolled out Fleet Feet Milestones.
For franchisees who would prefer not to allow employees to participate in Fleet Feet Milestones, you can use the Suspend Redemption feature in Marigold moving forward to prevent employees from redeeming rewards. See directions to do so here.
Whatever you decide moving forward, it’s best practice to communicate your local policy as it relates to the new Fleet Feet Milestones loyalty program with your employees. We recommend outlining your local policy in writing and ask employees to review and acknowledge via signature.
NOTE! In instances where we might have special opportunities (like sweepstakes) just for employees, we'll use the Employee setting within Marigold to target those opportunities. You can check and update employee status in Marigold by navigating to Member > CSR > Edit Profile > Other Details > and then check the box next to the Employee field.
