Emilie Sineau

Student Support Coordinator

I have a B.A in French Literature, Communication and Publishing from Sorbonne Université in Paris, France where I was born and raised. In my 20’s I moved to New York City where I lived for 11 years before moving to Flagstaff. In NYC I taught French and ESL before Managing the Study Abroad program of a large language school. I was also a Newsroom Editor for 5 years before becoming a running coach. I am very passionate about helping people reach their goals, may it be through running or learning a language. I have 2 amazing children who are 3 and 6. I am an avid runner who completed several marathons and ultramarathons and I am just getting started! I love learning about new cultures, places, people and foods!

Marilee Eveleth

Academic Counselor

Thank you for having me as part of the Student Support staff at FALA serving as the Counselor for the kids who need some emotional support. I practice as a private therapist in Flagstaff and come to FALA as a retired education professional of 29 years. Throughout these years, I served as a high school teacher, coach, mentor, a university faculty member, and the director for the professional education programs at NAU.

“I am not what has happened to me, I am what I choose to become.” ~Carl Jung

I am proud to say that I have been a member of the Flagstaff community for nearly 40 years. In my personal life, I love spending time with my wonderful family, running or hiking with my favorite pal, Reilly, playing golf, skiing, practicing yoga, cooking and baking yummy things, deconstructing and reconstructing the most unassuming homes, and hanging with my awesome (very small group of) friends. I also love to travel, read, and reunite with my childhood friends while getting a lot of vitamin D!

Giselle Viera-Soto

Academic Counselor

Hi there! My name is Giselle Viera-Soto, I have lived in Flagstaff for about 20 years and decided to stay after finishing out my MEd in School Counseling at NAU. I am currently working on becoming a licensed accredited counselor through AZBHE and am excited to continue that journey while I work here at FALA.

My goal is to provide academic, career/educational, and social-emotional support for all of our amazing students! I’m excited that I get to be present for them as they begin to explore their future paths.

Some fun facts about me- I am a first-generation Latina graduate, I absolutely love dogs, I’m a big fan of hiking, and I am absolutely terrified of moths.
