For Parents & Guardians

Experiential learning is entering the front of the US education system. Schools around the country are getting their students out in the community to experience a more robust learning environment among professionals. Students will be exposed to diverse environments that prepare them for real-world challenges. 

The amount of credit students will receive depends on the amount of hours they are able to fit into their schedule. Students are encouraged to participate during study halls, afterschool, or on the weekends. Credits will go towards Applied Academics at Camden Hills. 1 credit is equivalent to 102 hours. 0.5 credits is equivalent to 50 hours. Students are able to receive up to 1 credit.

*We cannot guarantee that every student will be placed. Placements are dependent on business availability and the number of students. If students do not find placement, they will be encouraged to participate another semester or job shadow.*
