A Day in Our Program

The school day begins at 8:20. The classrooms open at 8:00. Children who arrive before that time can go to the library to be supervised until school starts.

In our play-based program, children spend much of the time engaged in child-directed play. The class comes together daily for morning and afternoon meetings, music, and story time. 

Small groups work with a teacher during center time to do science experiments, art projects, literacy activities, and more. 

Being well-fed is essential to be able to learn and grow. A healthy breakfast and lunch are provided. Parents will be asked to provide snacks to share with the class.

Children need to move! Our class goes outside or to the gym twice a day to engage in large motor play and activities. 

Our bodies need rest to replenish energy and stay healthy. All children will be able to rest for  at least 30 minutes each day. 

The school day ends at 3:20. Preschool/Pre-K  dismiss at 3:10. Students will be escorted to the busses, wait with a teacher for their parent/guardian to arrive, or stay for after school care.
