"To take action and help the local Oberursel Tierheim who we have always been providing aid to. They were desperate for donation items for their own shelter because lots of items were sent to Ukraine. We are planning to include the entire PS ES FISO community. The boxes will be set up from the 15th-21st of June for PS and 21-22nd of June for ES. Donations or extra change would be made from Primary school students and elementary school students as an 'entrance fee' for their Sportsday. These items are the items the Tierheim needs as we have made sure with the Tierheim.

The PS ES Principal will send out our video advertisement on Seesaw once this is complete. Additionally, we will make posters and social media posts to notify the PS ES parents.

To raise awareness about mental health and to enable safe and productive discussions among peers in the hopes of fighting the stigma around certain aspects of mental health. To provide hands-on experiences to form connections and provide insights to counter the theme of this week: loneliness.

Fundraise and spread awareness by publicising our website and the money that we are collecting would be used in oder to donate money on the Ocean Project where we would purchase a necklace/bracelet where we would then be tracking the animal on the necklace making it our service mascot.

The main goal of this event would be to raise awareness (what SA is, how it effects men and women, preventative methods, and how to provide support), but we would be very happy to use this opportunity to raise funds as well (by selling treats before and after the event). This event would include spreading awareness through speeches, of course, but we would also love to have FIS performers showcase their talent (musicians, poets, etc.).

The purpose is to raise money for Ukrainians suffering from the war and create a sense of unity and solidarity towards Ukraine by giving FIS members Ukraine wearable ribbons.

The annual GSA Pride Week to spread awareness of LGBT+ rights and a celebration of LGBT+ culture.

To raise awareness about issues our community has observed within FIS about different marginalized groups. We used data from a survey we conducted in December of 2021 to find the topics that we wanted to focus on. We decided to really focus on how the topics (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, intersectionality, ableism, classism, and implicit bias) manifest in our own school community and how we can improve the FIS community for marginalized groups. The majority of these issues are entirely systemic and the best way to 'get rid' of them is to start conversations and have people ask as many questions as possible.

To inform others of the project we have going in in Oberursel, and to encourage people to try out a few samples to help with the campaign.

We want to help the American students register to vote and provide resources to students from many countries to participate in democracy.

To raise funds, but also to give students an opportunity to engage with our service group and raise awareness for our mission.

Women's Month (fundraise)

The purpose of the K9 Dog Walk is to include our members in participating in a fundraise event over a period of time. We are planning to walk dogs in small groups after school mainly from the FIS community, to fundraise for the Diazozo Animal Shelter where an FIS faculty member has a direct connection with. We are hoping to build connections with pet-owning FIS families so that our group can gain recognition and gain support in future events. Additionally, we aim to interact with shelters within our region and the FIS K9 Community through this fundraise.

International Happiness Day. Peace of Mind aims at promoting mental health and happiness alongside Operation Smile's bake sale.

Raise Awareness about Wilderness International and it's mission and encourage people to plant seeds in little paper towels that we are selling (to raise money aswell). We also want to raise awareness about the caribou migration occurring this time of the year in north-western Canada and how the ecosystem needs trees.

To fundraise for the children's home in Poland to support them.

The purpose of this activity is for CSC to raise funds for a reputable environmental charity the group will vote on, and to spread the idea of sustainable gifting to the community. We will be planting small flowers and selling the seedlings in decorated egg carton cups as a unique valentines gift.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness for various companies setting profit as a priority before the wellbeing of society and individuals humans rights.

To raise funds for our service group, while informing students about our service group and why we are helping the elephants.

To let kids at fis send out nice valentines greetings out to other kids at school. This is always a fun and nice event. Furthermore we can collect the money from the candy gram and use it as some of the charity money that we send to the camillians center

The main purpose of this event is to create musical performances to entertain marginalized people and to provide lasting memories and connections with them. Due to covid-19, we believe that this event will be processed online, however, we can connect to more homes which will give us more opportunities to fulfill Andante's aim. Moreover, this online performance will give Andante members an opportunity to collaborate with people in other grades which will allow them to achieve one of the CAS requirements/essential agreements.

The purpose of this event to to provide Upper School students with the ability to join a free tutoring session during their lunch to prepare for upcoming tests and exams.

Fundraising

Raising funds and awareness for the importance to remember the holocaust. Hosting a ceremony for the peace pole.

Our service group is planning to sponsor a canine dog from the Soi Dog Foundation located in Thailand. They are an organisation dedicated to nurturing puppies, providing them shelter and medical treatment, as well as training them to become canine dogs. ​​By sponsoring a dog, not only will we change their life, but we’ll also change the lives of many others in desperate situations. Our support will ensure that these dogs receive the care they need and deserve. Our service group will receive regular updates from our sponsor dog throughout the year. Our gift of sponsorship will help fund the shelter, food, medicine and veterinary care for dogs that have nowhere else to go and is used not only to help your sponsored dog but all the other animals Soi Dog cares for. We want this to be an engaging event for our service group members and make our service group more known within the FIS community.

We are going to send out a survey that will help us to target specific issues regarding prejudice and discrimination in the FIS community then, we plan on using the data to address these specific problems in extended homerooms for all of upper school.

The six weeks between Winter Break and Ski Break we would have a weekly theme to aid in wellness for example, tips to sleep better. The tips would be posted on Monday on the Bulletin.

Combined dance performance program in which the current leaders will dance Kpop and the FIS Dance (10-12th grade) will dance contemporary pieces.

We are planning to prepare the Christmas tree made out of paper since our service group had done research about the relationship between the Christmas holiday and the plastic waste that are eventually very likely to be dumped into the ocean.

When we get ready for the tree with all the members before the event starts, we are planning to sell the postcards with the artworks printed on them (the artworks submitted for the art exhibition) right next to the tree. When buying the postcard, they will get a chance to write a simple quote about the ocean pollution + celebrating Christmas on a piece of circle shaped blue/sky blue paper, and those will be hung up on the paper tree.

The money earned will be all donated to the WWF.

Our event allows a student or teacher to give recognition to other teachers/students with a note and candy cane

We want to spread out the news about the serious pollution of the ocean (mainly due to the plastic wastes dumped into the ocean) and raise awareness by the artworks representing them directly in creative ways.

In line with our group's mission, the purpose of this event is to provide musical joy to our local seniors. As last time, we would like to broadcast this online in coordination with the Media Team and the FIS Technicians.

With the easing of Covid-19 restrictions during the last couple of months, our group Andante is looking forward to performing live for our local home-cares. However, given the sensitive nature of home-care facilities, we thought it would be best to hold-off until they are confident to give clearance (hopefully early next year).

We would like to educate the FIS Community about people whose rights have been abused. We also like to help these people in need by advocating for students to sign petitions.

We want to host a food and supply drive, the supplies will be donated to the Frankfurter Tafel to help the homeless and people in need

The purpose of this activity is to educate students about Children's Rights. Amnesty Frankfurt will be running this workshop.

We want to raise awareness about World Smile day and the effects of cleft lip/cleft palates. We will also do some fundraising during certain days, to raise money for surgeries.

We want to raise awareness for our group but also to take action and help the Tierheim in the best way possible in the times of covid when we cannot directly access the Tierheim. We are planning to include the entire FIS community, including the Wiesbaden campus (we will contact them). We will take donations from middle and high school students leaving FIS or anyone who is willing to donate. These items can be toys, pet food/treats, collars & leashes, blankets, bowls and any other items that the Tierheim may need (we will be contacting them soon asking for the items they need the most). Additionally, we will promote our group via advertisement and on site on the day of the event with posters, images, videos and a link to our service group website & sign up page. On site (probably in front of the cafeteria), we will have decorated boxes set up. We are aiming to make use of our time during the pandemic to take actions but more importantly, we want our group members (especially seniors) to enjoy this event and gain experience from it.

As a group, we have folded origami doves on zoom. We want to have a little stand in the entrance area and get peers to write what peace means to them onto these doves in exchange for a little sweet. Then we would hang them all up as a little installation, thus spreading awareness for peace.

We want to allow children to creatively raise ocean awareness through art (creating badges) while teaching them about the ocean. We will have printed templates with ocean animals and facts for the children to color in, and then we will press them into badges that they can take home.

The idea is to do a Student- Teacher appreciation week where students are able to send their teachers their thanks for all they have done during the year (and vice versa). We think it’s a great opportunity to thank everyone for their hard work this year and even give those who are moving an opportunity to say goodbye. We also want to urge all teachers to do the same to other teachers or to their own students since we have all been working very hard during this strange year. We will be selling “Candy Grams” with a note and a packaged sweet.

We want to raise awareness and inform more students about what our groups does.

The purpose of this event is to advocate human rights. We want to provide a compare and contrast for each of the rights from the Decleration of Human Rights, showing examples of people who have got and who have not got each right. We will also hold Petition Signing Campaigns to help people whose human rights have been abused.

We want to fundraise and spread awareness about Operation Smile, more specifically for Sending Hope to Nicaragua

We want to inform students in econ, business, english, history, and global politics classes about the situation in Lebanon (economic and political side), stories about the explosion, and what it's like being a socio-political writer and activist.
