MAKE A SPONSOR LETTER! This must include your name, school grade, years in FFA, extracurriculars, SAE project (pig), pig's name and ear tag number, plans after high school, what you like about being in FFA, why the sponsor should consider sponsoring, mention that it's tax deductible, and finally, a photo(s) of you and your pig.
Go out to businesses (farm stores, auto shops, and local businesses in particular) and introduce yourself to the manager/person on duty. Shake hands and talk clearly and at a steady pace about what you are doing through FFA. Bring hand signed sponsor letters to give to them. This also applies when asking family and friends to sponsor you.
Dress APPROPRIATLEY! No holes in pants, blue jeans or black jeans, and your FFA jacket. (If not, make sure you are wearing Fife FFA gear at the very least.
