The F.A.R.M. for Kids CDE challenges chapters to educate elementary students on the importance of agriculture. Participants must create an informative presentation designed to be fun, educational, and grade-level appropriate.

The Forestry CDE allows students to demonstrate their skills in diagnosing forest disorders, managing forests and forest inventory, and applying approved silviculture practices.

Participants in Floriculture CDE must identify plants, make decisions in solving day-to-day problems that occur in any part of the business, and complete an exam that tests their general knowledge. Skill activities, such as flower arranging and corsage design, allow students to showcase their knowledge and talent.

Vet Science participants have their veterinary science knowledge tested in the written exam as well as in the breed, equipment and parasite identification. Members also demonstrate hands-on skills in the clinical and handling/restraining practicums. This event challenges participants to utilize high-level knowledge in math and science.
