Powder Puff Flag Football Game Rules

***ALL JERSEYS WILL BE NUMBERED IN ORDER OF REGISTRATION***

A Parent Permission Slip must be turned in and signed by a parent/guardian to participate in any practices and the game.  (Available in the MAIN OFFICE, Room 141, or you can find the flyer below ~ scroll down)

NOTE: ALL Jerseys will be numbered in the order received ~ No # Requests! This is for roster and game stats!

General Rules: 

1. Must have a signed permission parent permission slip to participate in practice or the game.

2. Must have a mouthpiece for practice & game.

3. Practices must be conducted on campus at designated locations. 

4. Must have a faculty coach present at practices and at the game.  

5. Student coaches are limited to 6.  Coaches must have a signed permission slip turned in to participate and attend pre-game meeting (date & time TBA)

6. Any sort of hazing activity will result in removal from powder puff activities and/or cancellation of the powder puff game itself.  

Game Rules: 

1. 9 v 9 players, 12 minute quarters, continuous running clock.  Halftime is 5 minutes.

2. There will be a play clock of 45 seconds. 

3. Regular rules for first downs.  

4. No rush on punts.  Offense must indicate if they are going for the 1st down or punting on 4th down.  No punt return allowed.  

5. Fumbles and interceptions are live balls and may be returned. 

6. ALL PARTICIPANTS THAT WANT TO PLAY IN THE GAME MUST RECEIVE PLAYING TIME.

*Girls must attend at least 1 practice to play

1. Two coaches only may be on the field for offense only.  

2. One time out per half (only in the last 2 minutes) 

3. The ball will be spotted where the ball-carrier's flag was pulled.  If your entire belt/flag comes off, the ball will be spotted at that point. 

4. Regular rules for penalties except where noted below.

   1. No straight arms (15 yards)

   2. No blocking below the waist (15 yards and ejection) 

   3. No tackling (15 yards and ejection) 

   4. Mouth guard must be in at all times (5 yards) 

   5. Unnecessary roughness/unsportsmanlike conduct (15 yards and ejection)

   6. Excessive coaches on the sidelines/field (10 yards) 

Grabbing of the jersey (or anything other than the belt/flag) before removal of the flag (10 yards)
