Revised 2017
Keep it clean. All dancing must be “tasteful” - parents & some children are in the stands!
Include 20 people minimum to be scored +1 point. Be creative and have as many people participate as possible.
Music must be submitted to Advisors for approval by:
14 Days Before the Homecoming Assembly (2 Fridays before Homecoming Assembly)
*If not turned in by deadline, then there will be a deduction in points
4. Class Advisors must approve the dance routine and costumes. Please set up a time with the advisor before or after school prior to Monday of Homecoming Week.
5. All lip syncs have a maximum time limit of 5 minutes. Of those 5 minutes, at least 2 minutes should involve actual lip syncing, not just dancing.
6. Sportsman-like conduct is expected of all classes during the assembly. If your class behaves inappropriately a deduction of points will occur. This includes chanting while another class is performing, etc. If classes are involved with the lipsync, the class officer in charge of the lip sync needs to inform the student council advisors that this is part of the routine. The entire routine must be approved or you are at risk of having points deducted.
7. Judging of the lip sync will take place during the pep assembly on Friday. Various staff members will be the judges. The criteria are attached.
8. A maximum of $50 can be spent on costumes, props, etc.
9. The Homecoming Coordinator will choose the judges. All judges will be staff members that will be neutral. Students will have to trust that the adults are making the correct choices.
