This activity includes a visit to the Business Park of Barreiro with cultural heritage recently classified as a set of Public Interest (2020):

Industrial museum (former diesel power station);

Mausoleum and house-Museum of Alfredo da Silva;

Steam power plant no. 1;

Stinville Generation buildings;

Pirite unloading and grinding warehouse;

Santa Bárbara workers' quarter;

and headquarters of the sports group of Companhia União Fabril (CUF).


As regards to the industry history, Barreiro is a territory of reference in Portugal. The old Companhia União Fabril played a key role in the 20th century with repercussions in the present society and life of this territory.

The Business Park of Barreiro is under the management of Baía do Tejo, a government-owned enterprise.


For those who participate in the post-visit to Business Park of Barreiro, the meeting point is at the main door of the Industrial Museum at 10:00 a.m. | A member of the organizing committee will be at the meeting point to receive you.

Take the ferry boat from Lisboa – Terreiro do Paço station to Barreiro

Bus, tram and subway are available to the fluvial station of Terreiro do Paço.
