FCS All-County Chorus

We are super excited to have our Advanced Choir class attend the FCS All-County Chorus event! Please read the information below in its entirety to learn all about this amazing event. If you have any questions or concerns about this information, please contact the director, Mr. Cameron McDonald.

Dates and Times

• The date of the event is Thursday, April 16th, 2026. On the morning of this date, students are to report directly to the choir room before the 8:15 AM tardy bell. Mr. McDonald will do an attendance check and then quickly hop onto a bus headed for Louisburg College. We will rehearse at Louisburg College for the day and the students will return to FHS before 3:00 PM to ride the bus, drive themselves, or get picked up to head home. 

• Students are to report back to the Louisburg College Jones Performing Art Center no later than 6:00 PM that evening for a check-up rehearsal before the concert. Students must be dressed in their concert black!

• Parents will be allowed to enter the auditorium between 6:30 PM and 6:45 PM so you can enjoy watching your students perform at the 7:00 PM concert. Once the concert has finished, students will be dismissed.

What to wear?

• For the rehearsal, students are allowed to wear what they normally wear to school. However, the policies and procedures for student attire outlined in the FHS student handbook must be followed at all times! (No crop tops, No exposed shoulders/sleeveless tops, No exposing clothing/extremely short bottoms, No inappropriate text/logos on the clothing, etc.) If a student does not have appropriate attire, they will not be allowed to rehearse or perform in the event!

• For the concert, students must be in ALL-BLACK concert attire! This is the normal concert attire that the students would wear for our end-of-semester concerts. If you need a reminder as to what this looks like, please click HERE to access a visual aid on how to dress appropriately.  If a student does not have appropriate attire, they will not be allowed to rehearse or perform in the event!

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

• Breakfast is served every day for free in the Cafeteria at FHS. We encourage students to eat breakfast and have plenty of water on hand for the rehearsal that day. Attempting to perform under the hot stage lights without a proper meal and water may result in injury or illness!

• Thanks to the generosity of Mr. Reggie, he will be providing burgers and bagged chips for our lunch. He can prepare hamburgers (no cheese), cheeseburgers, and veggieburgers. Student can also choose to opt out of this lunch and bring their own lunch instead.

• We encourage all students to eat dinner before arriving for the evening rehearsal and concert. Attempting to perform under the hot stage lights without a proper meal may result in injury or illness!

Permission Forms

• Students will receive a permission form to excuse them from their classes on the day of our rehearsal. This form is mandatory for all students attending the event. The form is due NO LATER than Wednesday, April 1st, 2026! If this form is not submitted on time, the student will not be allowed to attend the rehearsal or the concert!
