Why Bright Futures—Frederick/Winchester?
Bright Futures is a nonprofit organization that helps schools connect student needs with resources that already exist in our community. The Bright Futures framework brings together businesses. human service agencies, faith-based organizations, and parent groups. We partner these organizations with schools in a way that helps them quickly and efficiently meet student needs.
Because every child needs a champion.
Our whole community thrives when we invest our time, talent, and treasure into students and our schools. Bright Futures - Frederick/Winchester has a strategic plan that centers on three critical objectives: to increase the amount of time the community provides for the needs of students, to foster an environment where the community lends its talents, and to collect and apply treasure to address unmet needs. Through this wrap-around approach, our small program can do amazing things that impact thousands of local students.

Thanksgiving Giveaway
Bright Futures Frederick/Winchester is excited to announce a Thanksgiving Drive-Through Food Giveaway. The purpose of this program is to support families that have students who attend Winchester or Frederick County Public Schools who experience food insecurity. Families will receive a free shelf-stable food box and additional Thanksgiving items. Distribution occurs on Thursday, November 20th from 2:00pm-5:00pm, while supplies last. Items included with the giveaway will vary from family to family, based on size and availability. Advance registration required.
Bright Futures Frederick/Winchester se complace en anunciar la Entrega de Alimentos para el Día de Acción de Gracias. El objetivo de este programa es apoyar a las familias con estudiantes que asisten a las Escuelas Públicas de la Ciudad de Winchester o del Condado de Frederick y que sufren inseguridad alimentaria. Las familias recibirán de manera gratuita una caja de alimentos y artículos adicionales para el Día de Acción de Gracias. La distribución se realizará el jueves 20 de noviembre de 2:00 a 5:00 de la tarde hasta agotar existencias. Los artículos incluidos en la entrega variarán según la familia, sul tamaño y la disponibilidad. Se requiere preinscripción.
