"Hello! My name is Morgan Dowd and I am so excited to join the wonderful staff at CMES. I will serve as the counselor grades 3-5. This is my first year as a school counselor and I recently graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a master's degree in School Counseling. I also completed my most recent internship experience with FCPS in the spring at the elementary level. I love to help students succeed using creative and thoughtful approaches to the counseling process, as well as connecting over shared interests.
In my free time, you can find me exploring antique or thrift stores, writing, or relaxing on the couch with my Nintendo Switch. I also love Hello Kitty!"
Hello! My name is Amber Nutter and I am the counselor for grades PK-2. I graduated from Messiah University in 2021 with my masters in school counseling. In addition, I also have two specialist certificates from the American School Counselors Association and am a nationally certified counselor. I love to help students celebrate their strengths while identifying areas of growth through creative art, interactive games and other thoughtful approaches.
In the future, I will be applying for my doctorate degree in Educational Leadership. I hope to focus my dissertation on the relationship between SEL and school/community culture in suburban settings.
In my free time, I love finding new coffee shops to try and new towns to explore with my husband. I am an avid Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics fan.
