Students learned about texture and neutral colors in order to draw a llama portrait. We then discussed the importance of llamas to the Peruvian culture and the people of the Andes Mountains. Students created a background with Pervian inspired designs for their Llamas.
Students learned about the artist Wassily Kandinsky. Kandinsky was one of the first artists to lead the Abstract movement. He created artwork inspired by music which consisted of lines, shapes and colors. Students used Kandisnky's work as inspiration to create an abstract shape artwork of their own using liquid glue and oil pastel!
