Internships

The Internship program gives students the opportunity to explore a possible career first hand while still in high school.  Students work under the supervision of adult mentors to explore the responsibilities, benefits, advantages, and disadvantages of a particular career choice.  Each mentor is primarily responsible for the daily tasks and/or learning activities of the intern.  Each school’s Work Based Learning Coordinator serves as a conduit between the school and internship site.

Internship students will be required to report their hours at the internship site and complete assignments throughout the semester that demonstrate their increasing knowledge of the career field.

Internships are open to FHS Juniors and Seniors and can be scheduled for 1 or 2 weighted credits per semester.
