Students will maintain six feet physical distancing and wear face coverings while traveling to the cafeteria
As students enter the cafeteria, they will use the hand sanitizer dispensers.
Students have been assigned a seat number and must sit in that seat for the duration of the lunch block.
If students need a lunch, they will enter the cafeteria and go directly to the lunch line and stand on the social distance markers while in the lunch line. Students will exit the lunch line and go directly to their assigned seat.
All students will be provided a free school lunch each day they are in the building.
Students who pack their lunch will enter the cafeteria and go directly to their assigned seat, where they must remain for the duration of lunch.
Students may remove face coverings while eating lunch, snacks, or drinking, when there is proper social distancing.
Students will raise their hand to get out of their seat to use the bathroom, throw away trash, and/or if they need an adult's attention.
Students are responsible for removing food items and placing them in the trash can. Students will return to their seat and wait to be dismissed.
Students will be required to clean their hands with soap/water or hand sanitizer prior to and immediately after eating.
Students should bring their own water bottles that are clearly labeled with their name.
Water fountains will be opened for the sole purpose of refilling water bottles.
Students should not be sharing food and/or beverages.
Weather permitting, students will have the ability to engage in recess by going outside during lunch. Students will not be permitted to use any equipment. The guidance will be for students to walk the perimeter of the school with staff at designated spots to monitor students. If weather does not permit outdoor recess, students will remain at their lunch desks indoors.
Students may also remove their masks as long as they are able to maintain at least 6 feet social distancing while outside.
At the conclusion of recess, students will be required to wear their face masks prior to reentry into the building.
Students should not be bringing their own equipment to school for the time being. This guidance may change.
Use of electronic devices will be allowed during recess time.
Reminder to students and families regarding appropriate use of electronics: Student possession and use of electronic devices on school property and at school-sponsored events on and off campus is a privilege, not a right. Student cell phones, Chromebooks, and laptops are allowed for instructional purposes and also may be used in the cafeteria. Electronic devices are not to be used inappropriately in any part of our school. Students should be reminded to be responsible digital citizens and that the privilege to have a personal or school owned device can be revoked if misused. If the device is being used inappropriately, the student will be reminded of the rules. If it is the second offense, a parent contact will be made. On the third offense, the student will be asked to take the device to the office to pick up at the end of the day. Continued violation of the cell phone/communication policy will result in Administration action.
