Health Room Expectations

Each school will have a Health Room Technician (HRT) and/or Registered Nurse (RN) onsite in the school health room daily to respond to student illnesses, injuries, and/or emergencies.

• If a student requests to see the nurse, a staff member will call the health room to make sure the health room is available at that time. Students will NOT be sent to the health room before contacting the health room first.

• Only students who have individual medical passes issued from the health room/front office will be allowed to go to the health room per their individual health care plan. The health room staff will provide teachers with student health care plans. Daily medications should be administered at home to the extent possible.

• The health room will be our primary location for students in need of health assistance unrelated to Covid-19 symptoms. Our secondary location will be the back room of the health room. Symptomatic students will be isolated from peers until parents/guardians can pick them up from school.
