Welcome to ELD 2rd period!
We will be working on making you successful in learning to speak, read, and write English, so that your ability to succeed in your other classes is increased! We will be working with the Lexia program sometimes, but other times we will be examining articles I bring in and looking at them to see why they are put together in a particular way. I promise to be kind and patient, and sometimes funny. I ask that you also be patient, with yourselves and with each other, because we all come to this class with different abilities and strengths, and different things will challenge each of us differently. The final goal is the 4 on the ELPAC test, which is what we're really working towards; to get you to Proficient status. Let's go, we got this!
Bienvenidos a la clase de ELD!
Trabajaremos en hacerles exitosos en aprender a hablar, leer y escribir el Inglés, para que la habilidad de tener éxito en sus otras clases se mejore! Trabajaremos en el programa Lexia a veces, y otras veces examinaremos unos artículos que traigo yo, y los miraremos para ver la razón porque están formulados de una manera particular. Yo les prometo ser amable y paciente, y a veces graciosa. Les pido que sean también pacientes, con si mismos, y entre ustedes, porque todos llegamos a la clase con destrezas distintas y cosas distintas nos desafiarán de maneras distintas. El objetivo final es el 4 en el examen ELPAC, y es por eso que trabajamos junto; para llegar al nivel Proficiente. Ya vamos!
