Recording & Posting Video
As teachers are recording live teaching sessions and creating videos for flipped instruction, it is important to know how to make these available to students. This page provides directions for some of the ways to do that.
Please Note: - All videos should be stored under your FCPS account regardless of platform.
Scenario #1 - Videos Recorded in Screencastify
Screencastify allows you to send a video directly to your FCPS YouTube account or download it and then upload. (Sometimes the download step is required.) Check out the resources below for help with this.

Scenario #2 - Videos Recorded in Zoom - Downloading
If you are using Zoom to deliver and record instruction, you may have two options depending on what device you are using.
Recording to Local Machine (use this option if on a PC/Mac to help save Zoom Cloud storage)
Recording to Zoom Cloud (use this option if you are using a Chromebook)
The following directions will explain how to download videos from Zoom Cloud storage so they can be saved to Google Drive. Zoom cloud storage will automatically delete any videos more than 14 days old, so it is important to download any videos you want to save.

See Scenario #3 for directions on how to upload your videos to YouTube so they can be shared.
Scenario #3 - Uploading Videos (from Zoom or elsewhere) to YouTube
If you have downloaded videos from Zoom (see above) or from other sources that you want to upload to YouTube, here are the directions to do so. Please note: All videos that include students, should be uploaded as Unlisted and uploaded videos should be under your FCPS YouTube account.

Please take note - if you are using Canvas and want to embed an Unlisted YouTube video, the directions are a little different than normal. See the video below.
Scenario #4 - Sharing Video from Google Drive
If you have short videos that you want share directly from your Google Drive into Google Classroom then follow the steps in the video below.
If you want to add videos to Canvas directly from Google Drive, then you will want to use the external tool feature, just like you would to add Google Slides, Google Docs, etc. The video below will demonstrate how to add a Google Slide deck, but the steps are the same.
