*these requirements are set by the Embassy of Spain, ISA (International Spanish Academy)
** Students who are not on pace to complete their volunteer hours risk losing eligibility for the ISA diploma:
By the end of 10th grade (May 31st), students must have completed at least 10 hours.
By the end of 11th grade (May 31st), students must have completed at least 15 hours.
Students who do not meet these benchmarks by the specified deadlines will no longer qualify for the ISA diploma.
***to earn the Seal of Biliteracy a student must demonstrate proficiency in English and another language. English proficiency can be demonstrated by: meet benchmarks in English(18) and Reading(20) in the ACT test, or passing an AP English exam with a 3 or higher, or earning a 4 or above in the ACCESS test during their high school years. Language proficiency can be demonstrated by passing the AP language exam with a 3 or higher, or meeting benchmarks (Intermediate mid) on the exam given (APPLL, STAMP, etc)
**** DLI students that failed DLI Freshman Seminar 1st semester, will be given the opportunity to recover the course throughout the second semester. Students that failed 2nd semester, will be given the opportunity to recover the course during summer school. Failure to recover the DLI Freshman Seminar course before the beginning of their second year will result in recommending that the student exit the DLI program.
