Hispanic Support Group is for BSHS Students who are of Hispanic heritage/speak Spanish, and are interested in receiving vital information on a variety of resources and opportunities such as FAFSA, steps to be accepted to college, mentorship groups, clubs, scholarships, volunteering opportunities, events, recent immigration news among others.

El Grupo de Apoyo para Hispanos es para estudiantes de BSHS que sean ascendencia Hispana o que hablan español, que estén interesados en recibir información vital en variedad de recursos y oportunidades como FAFSA, pasos para ser aceptado en la universidad, grupos de tutoría, clubs, becas, oportunidades de voluntariado, eventos, y noticias recientes de inmigración.

Estudiantes firmen para pertenecer al grupo hispano
El Grupo Hispanos (HG) es para estudiantes de la preparatoria de Bryan Station que sean descendencia Hispana/hablan español, que estén interesados en recibir información de la variedad de recursos y oportunidades que la escuela les puede ofrecer. También los expondremos a información que los preparara para continuar su educación después de la preparatoria cómo aplicar para el FAFSA, aplicar para becas, y ser aceptados en algún colegio o universidad. Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de visitar colegios/ universidades, hablar con representantes de sectores públicos y privados para aprender sobre carreras y oportunidades para estar listo para trabajar, asistir a eventos culturales y hacer servicio comunitario en la escuela y fuera. Nuestras reuniones serán durante hora de flex el primer y tercer Jueves del mes (11:15am-11:50am) los miercoles una vez al mes y pocas veces serán durante horas de clase o despues de escuela. También tendremos algunos eventos familiares en las tardes. TODOS LOS ESTUDIANTES TENDRAN QUE HACER 10 HORAS DE SERVICIO COMUNITARIO.

Come and join the Hispanic Support group, the Latin Dance team learn about POSADAS in a fun afternoon with food, games, dancing, dance presentations, prizes and much more. Event will be at the cafeteria Dec 15th from 3:30pm-6pm. Please wear a red, green, Christmas, Hispanic support group, or proud of my heritage t-shirt.

Algunos de nuestros estudiantes tuvieron la oportunidad de ir a una excursión educativa a los juegos Countdown donde trabajan juntos y en colaboración entre ellos para un objetivo común que era escapar con un tiempo límite.
Some of our students had the opportunity to go to an educational field trip to Countdown games where they work together in collaboration with each other for a common goal that was to escape the room within a time limit.

El grupo de apoyo hispano tuvo la oportunidad de salir y aprender sobre una cultura diferente. Tuvieron la oportunidad de visitar el Teatro Lírico y aprender sobre la historia de los Afroamericanos en febrero.
The Hispanic support group had an opportunity to go out and learn about a different culture. They got the opportunity to visit the Lyric Theater and learn about the history of African Americans in February.

Casa de la Cultura da la oportunidad a nuestros hispanos que se van a graduar de recibir un sash étnico si pueden demostrar que han hecho servicio comunitario en nuestra comunidad latina. Algunas maneras de considerar al estudiante para recibir un sach étnico sería haciendo servicio comunitario en RADIOLEX http://radiolex.us/es/, cualquier iglesia, Hope Center, Ferias de salud, escuela o eventos comunitarios que se dirijan a los hispanos. Estas horas de voluntariado no pueden recibir crédito por otro programa o clase. Para más información en BSHS ver Sra. Valles 859-381-3308 ext 50032
Casa de la Cultura gives the opportunity to our Hispanic graduating seniors to receive a sash as long as they have shown that they have volunteered to give back to our Latino Community. Some ways to qualify for this ethnic sash is by volunteering in RADIOLEX http://radiolex.us/es/ , any Church, Hope Center, Health Fairs, school or/and community event that targets Hispanics. These volunteer hours cannot receive credit for another program or class. For more information at BSHS see Mrs. Valles 859-381-3308 ext 50032
