In 2009 I started teaching at Farmingdale Public School. I have taught social studies and language arts at every middle school grade level at some point. My teaching motto is "Curiosity is a superpower!"
My undergraduate degree is in Writing for Television, Radio and Film from Syracuse University. Go 'Cuse! My first career was in the entertainment industry. I spent some time working at the William Morris Agency and in post-production before working at Warner Bros. Animation and Sony Pictures Family Animation in Los Angeles. After I moved back east, I continued to work in production in animation in New York City.
While I loved working in animation, I also love working with students to help them become active participants in our democracy.
In addition to my Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from Monmouth University, I have an endorsement as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities.
