The Technology Committee meets once a month to discuss vision, mission, professional development needs, and to advise the Director of Educational Technology and Innovation on decisions and implementations. The mission of the committee is, "The FPS Technology Committee seeks to improve teaching and learning with emphasis on digital wellbeing and technology use rooted in active learning, engagement, meaningful learning, and social interaction." We have put together Resources and Competencies for Schoology as well as some self-paced courses where you can learn how to use Schoology and gain CEUs. Loom Screencasting: There are many good screencasting (screen recording) tools available; Loom is simply one we’ve found to be consistent and it works well on all our supported devices. We recommend using the Loom Chrome extension on your laptop or workstation, or you can install the iPad app from Self Service. After installation, you should verify your loom education account here to get expanded use for free. Learn more about how to use Loom here. 

Your Google account is username@faribault.k12.mn.us, and your password will sync from your network account, so anytime you are logging into anything with Google you will use your full email address and your network password. This is your primary account for Email, Calendar, and document creation and storage through Google Drive. See our Gmail Productivity Tips to help improve your productivity with Gmail, and click this link to add our important events calendar to your Google Calendar. 

There are a number of reasons to sign in to Google Chrome, including streamlined access to your Google account, access to our Faribault Schools shortcuts folder, and you can customize your Chrome experience and then save it to use with other computers or if you have to restart your computer. Login by clicking on the person icon in the upper right corner of Chrome, then use your full @faribault.k12.mn.us Google account. Clever is the method we use to authenticate and roster many of our instructional resources. Log into Clever through the iPad app, at clever.com/in/faribault, from the Staff Portal, or from the Faribault Schools folder on Chrome,  and you should see links to the resources that you have access to based on your role.
