District Goals
Ready for Kindergarten Goal
Goal: Increase the percentage of Faribault Public Schools kindergarten students who meet grade-level benchmarks on the Fastbridge Early Reading test from 37% in fall 2022 to 46% in fall 2024.
Prioritized Strategies:
Increase Pre-K capacity at FPS (add sections)
Prioritize partnerships with community programs with high FPS enrollment
Extended ECFE Programming, with focus on reaching those not already served
Read Well by 3rd Grade Goal
Goal: Increase the percentage of Faribault Public Schools students in Grade 3 who are proficient on the MCA III state reading assessment from 28% in Spring 2022 to 35% in Spring 2024.*

Evaluation and adoption of new Tier 1 English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum resources
Adjustments to "What I Need" (WIN) time
Enhanced professional development aligned with the Science of Reading
Middle School Math Goal
Goal: Increase the percentage of Faribault Public School students who are proficient on the MCA III state math assessment from 14.2% in Spring 2022 to 32.4% in Spring 2024.*

Incorporate evidence-based practices and problem-based learning strategies
Early childhood to Adult level collaboration (curriculum alignment and data driven practices)
Increase educator capacity with professional development and sustainable coaching model
4 Year Graduation Goal
Goal: Increase the percentage of Faribault Public Schools students who graduate in 4 years from 69% to 90% by June of 2026.
