There is a current shortage in our area for Athletic Trainers. The district will do its best to have certified medical staff on site to help to evaluate injuries and provide game coverage for the majority of home events.
AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR
The AED is for use in case of cardiac arrest. The case is alarmed and clearly marked for emergency use only. The District will provide training in the use of the AED. Coaches will be expected to take this training.
WEATHER EMERGENCIES
1. Coaches are responsible for the safety of their athletes during a weather emergency occurring during a practice or event.
2. Discontinue practices during a severe thunderstorm and/or if lightning is present.
