What is ChatGPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer)?
When I ask it (ChatGPT) to explain ChatGPT to my mom, it cranks out, “ChatGPT is a computer program that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to understand and respond to natural language text, just like a human would. It can answer questions, write sentences, and even have a conversation with you. It's like having your own personal robot that can understand and talk to you!”

Tom has been writing and speaking about Artificial Intelligence in education since 2020 and has been an edtech speaker for over 20 years. A former social studies teacher and graduate of Princeton University and the University of Montreal, Tom has taught in Canada, France, Switzerland, and the United States. He has been featured in the Boston Globe for his contributions to teaching with technology and invited to Singapore by the Ministry of Education as an “Outstanding Educator in Residence”. Over the last three decades Tom has worked with over 10,000 educators internationally.
