The SCHOOL DAY runs from 8:05-2:27.
Students can arrive at 7:50 and are considered tardy after 8:05.
LUNCH is 20 minutes. Students have a choice of hot or cold lunch or may bring a lunch from home.
MUSIC & PHYSICAL EDUCATION meet DAILY for 20 minutes.
LIBRARY & ART meet once a week.

RECESS is 20 minutes each day. Recess is outside unless wind chill and/or temperature is -10 degrees or it is rainy.
Daily LITERACY INSTRUCTION will include concepts of print, letters, words, and beginning reading and writing.
Daily MATH INSTRUCTION will include numbers, shapes and patterns.

Be on time for school - it ensures a strong start to the day!
Check your child's backpack and take home folder every night- this is a job to do together!
If the 'going home' plans change, contact the office. We will follow designated plan unless we hear from you.
Talk to students about their day. Ask specific questions and keep positive focus.
Practice basic colors, shapes, counting to 10 and printing your name.
Fine motor skills improve with cutting, turning pages of a book, coloring, writing, working puzzles and playing with clay.
Gross motor skills develop by riding bike, playing balance games, running and hopping.
Listening skills develop by playing games like Simon Says, Red Light/Green Light and Duck, Duck Goose
Arrange play groups so practice sharing and turn taking.
Play games that allow your child an opportunity to win and lose.
Help your child learn their cafeteria ID#. They will use it everyday for meals at school.
Practice zippers, buttons and ties. If your child can't tie yet, don't have them wear tie shoes to school....but keep practicing :)
Practice independently opening snacks.
Student should be able to independently take care of bathroom needs.
Practice cleaning up after play.
