What time does school start and end?
The first bell rings at 7:50, the second bell rings at 8:05
The dismissal bell rings at 2:27
How early can my child arrive at school?
The building will open at 7:50 am and there is no outside supervision prior to this time
What is my child's bus number and what time do busses pickup and drop off?
Bus routes are created each fall and communicated by Fargo Public Schools Transportation Department, 701.446.1016 or FPS homepage->Quick Links->Transportation
What if my child is ill?
Children are required to stay home until their temp is within the normal range without medication for 24 hours.
Call the Bennett office (701.446.4000) to let the attendance clerk know to mark them absent.
If your child becomes ill at school, the office will call for you to come and pick them up.
What if my child has an appointment and needs to arrive to/leave from school early?
Notify the office of when your child will be gone or will return.
If they will be late, let the office know what they would like for lunch.
Parent will need to sign the student in or out in the office.
How do snacks work? Do we bring our own for our child or for the whole class?

How does the morning milk break work?
Mid-morning milk break is available to students. Payment is made 2x year (Sept & Jan). At the time of payment (2x-sept & jan), parents select child's drink choice: skim, 1%, orange juice or chocolate milk.
How do I pay for mild break, lunch and/or breakfast?
Parents pay online through School Pay in Power School ( Power School directions are on the HOME tab at the top of the page)
How much do breakfast and lunch cost?
Breakfast is $1.65 and lunch is $2.65
If my child needs to take medicine at school, how do I set this up?
All medications must be dispensed from the office.
An authorization form available online or the Bennett office must be signed by a parent.
Prescription medications require a doctor's signature. OTC meds do not.
All medication must be in the original labeled container and kept in the nurse's office.
What clothing does my child need for recess?
Check the weather: if in doubt, send the coat, hat, mittens, boots or snow pants.
