Game Notes

The No. 25 Franklin & Marshall women's soccer team (4-0-1, 1-0 CC) begins a three-game homestand with two contests this week. The Diplomats welcome Haverford (3-2-1, 0-0 CC) on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. before hosting Swarthmore (4-0-1, 1-0 CC) on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

Last Week

The Diplomats went 2-0 last week, including a victory in its Centennial Conference (CC) opener against Bryn Mawr. F&M took down Marywood 6-0 Wednesday evening that was highlighted by Alison Francis recording her first-career hat trick. Francis also recorded an assist in the win. Colleen Ferrarese and Zoe Warne each tallied their first scores of the the season. Mikaela Timmermans totaled three assists in the win. Read the full recap here.

F&M blanked the Owls Saturday afternoon on the road for the team's third shutout win of the season. Lillian Williams scored her second game-winning goal of the fall on an assist from Eileen Harvey and Alex Wilson. Mikaela Timmermans recorded her fifth point of the week on a goal in the 48th minute of the match. F&M outshot Bryn Mawr 14-3 in the win. Read the full recap here. 

Last Time vs. Haverford

Sierra Brophy recorded her second hat trick of the season, and the fourth of career to help the Diplomats win 3-0 over Haverford last fall. Meg O'Callahan '23 and Lainie Anderson '23 each tallied two assists in the win. F&M outshot the Fords 13-10 in the match. Read the full recap here. 

Last Time vs. Swarthmore

F&M was defeated by Swarthmore, 2-1, last fall. Brophy recorded the Diplomats' lone goal on an assist from O'Callahan in the second minute of the match. Franklin & Marshall peppered Swarthmore's net with 29 total shots and 11 shots on goal, but couldn't bury the equalizer. Read the full recap here.

Haverford Team Preview

Haverford enters Wednesday's match on a four-game unbeaten streak - most recently shutting out Lebanon Valley, 1-0. Keira Prince leads the Fords in goals (four) and points (10). Five Haverford players are tied for the team-lead in assists with two each. Goalkeeper Theresa Haupt holds a 1.80 goals against average and a save percentage of 66.7 percent. 

Swarthmore Team Preview

Before the Garnet hit the road to play Franklin & Marshall on Saturday, Swarthmore hosts Muhlenberg on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Ava Gizzie and Lauren Lior share the team-lead in points with 10 each. Gizzie currently leads the Garnet in goals with four this fall. Lior and Keren Maze are tied for the team-high in assists with four each this season. Goalkeeper Nora Greer sports a 0.67 goals-against average and a save percentage of 75 percent.

Among the Best

Both the Franklin & Marshall men's and women's soccer programs are one of only eight programs that have both their men's and women's team ranked inside the top 25 of the national polls. Out of those eight programs, just four have both teams sporting undefeated records so far this season - including Franklin & Marshall. The F&M men's soccer team has an overall record of 5-0-1, while the women's team is 4-0-1.
