Franklin & Marshall has never faced JWU (Providence) in program history.
The Franklin & Marshall women's soccer team gets set to make its second-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament Saturday at 1:30 p.m. when it takes on Tufts (7-5-4, 3-4-3 NESCAC) on the campus of TCNJ. If the Diplomats advance to the second round, they will play the winner of TCNJ (15-2-1, 8-1 NJAC) and JWU (Providence) (18-2-3, 15-0 GNAC) on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Back in the Big Dance
For just the second time in program history, the Diplomats are back in the NCAA Tournament after earning an at-large bid on Monday. F&M's first-ever appearance in the tournament came just two seasons ago in 2021, where the Diplomats downed Western Connecticut State, 2-1, before falling to Christopher Newport, 1-0, in the second round. Franklin & Marshall will look to continue building onto its remarkable season after making a deep conference tournament run that saw the Diplomats face Johns Hopkins in the Centennial Conference Championship game.
New Foes
Franklin & Marshall has not faced any of the three other teams playing in Ewing, New Jersey this weekend. F&M hasn't played in the state of New Jersey since September 4, 2022 when the Diplomats used a hat trick from Sierra Brophy to down Rutgers-Newark, 3-0.
